Dragged my butt into work at 9:15 (truck was scheduled 8-12 and N begged me to come in). We were finished with truck right around 11 and I got out of there as fast as I could. I was meant to sew when I got home, but instead I ate a peach and a plum and took a two hour nap until I had to go back.
Then was a lovely closing shift. Mostly lovely because I love Emily and Lindsay lots. I did get through the crazy flannel cart at least.
Mom came to visit and we got to chat a bit. She gave me new shirts for work because all mine are gross and grey. I knew this, but I hardly expected her to buy me new ones. >.

Anyway! Once I got home we balanced some money stuff and got food.
Then I got to thinking that I haven't updated on costume progress in a while (Read: days).

I'm getting close to the end of Oracle's Queen, which means that I may be reading Shadow's Return at the con. Whee~!

I've been missing my iPod /hardcore/ for days. The worst part? It was /Aiba's/ Dream 'A' Live Solo song that I was craving. Though I'm not lying when I say that sitting down at my computer and hearing "Take Me Far Away" again after even a few days almost made me cry with relief and joy. See... I don't do well without my music. I've always known this, but I sometimes forget what a /huge/ difference it makes.

Unfortunately, today was.... expensive. I spent a lot more than I should have and am consequently not in a position to be purchasing a new iPod for a while at least.

Still, today was a glorious and beautiful day. Colorado didn't even rain on us, and the sun was pleasantly obscured by light cloud cover most of the day.

Today I obtained ( some very nice things. )

It was a bit of a religious day for me (RenFaire time tends to be for me) - with both the new thoughts of Aura/Illior and the older influences of wind and air. I'm looking forward to a more centered focused year... trying to /think/ about the flow of life rather than letting it drag me along.
Also made me want to get some things cleaned up and unpacked - specifically alter stuff. A few candles and having my jewelry and staff back from where ever they disappeared to would be /really/ nice. ^_^

I've just finished "Traitor's Moon" and for the moment have no desire to sleep.
I spent most of last night working on my new bodice for RenFaire. I'm going with green and gold again - more Jeralyn's style, since she shares my coloring more closely than Zia and neither Ana nor Setra really fit into the style I'm aiming for.

( More costume thoughts: Skalan garb, my characters, etc. )

Anyhow, I /should/ try to sleep now, and not stay up in hopes of sleeping at a descent hour before truck tuesday. I have errands to run tomorrow anyway... so should try to get up early-ish.

Alec and Seregil are taking over my brain. I want plushies and artbooks and all sorts of things that don't exist for them. I also want to play Setra again.
This is during the time that anything at all can manage to distract me from Niou and Yagyuu, of course.

I want to finish Traitor's Moon, but I also need sleep.
The urge to order a signed copy of Shadows Return is killing me.

Anyway. Poinless post. I appologize.

There are Japanese editions of Nightrunner.
This boggles my mind.
Better? All the cover and insert art is by Yuki Kairi. Yeah. The Angel Sancuary one.
A lot of the names are not quite as I would have katakana-fied them... but then Seregil would come out sounding a little too much like uragiru in my version anyway.
It's very odd to me that I was considering purchasing the translations, especially since they come up to about $25 per book (because of multiple volumes). The art and the novelty would almost be worth it. I'll deffinitely be keeping an eye out for them if I'm ever in a book off again. >.>
Alec and Seregil have fully taken over my brain again. Well, when Nino isn't around. I feel so bad for my normal muses. I think they're in hiding. Except when Jess mentioned Masako earlier.... but it was the wrong one. ;_;

Um. Yeah. That's all.
Off for a whole three days now. My goal is to get Hyoutei polos and jersies done. May also be in Denver Saturday for an event of truly epic proportions... if I'm brave enough. We'll see.

[Edit: I missed GO-YA Day (5/8). I feel like a complete failure in my Higa.Okinawa fandom. At least I spent the whole day smiling every time I had to date something at work. ^^;;)

Work is freaking me out. Audited today. Was probably too nice. But it takes TOO DAMN LONG. There's stuff to be doing and I spent 4+ hours just auditing stuff. >.<;; It's easier to just say that stuff is right. I hope we do get a buddy audit someday so they can be harder on us.

So, when I got home I was having a terrible craving. See, a day or two ago

starlit_dragon pointed me over to

otterdance. Which in turn reminded me of Nightrunner and set me to craving Alec and Seregil. Now, of course, my first instinct when I wanted to read was to pick up CoS... but demons and darkness we freaking me out and I want to reread Nightrunner before the fourth book comes out anyway... So tonight I went out and picked up Luck in the Shadows.

I'm watching another two episodes of Princess Princess before bed though... because I'm weak.

I also had my leftovers for dinner and some cake and now I'm off to bed to remember how much I love rogues. Actual bed today, not sleeping on the couch. >.>
