I clearly watched "Maoh" and "Ryuusei no Kizuna" in the wrong order.
The endings of both were very good... but Maoh was definitely the more depressing of the two.
I desperately want more uplifting things now, to the point that I'm considering rewatching "Yamada Tarou" or trying to pick up "Binbo Danshi" again. i would just suck it up and watch Iwojima, since it would quell my Nino craving... but I know that wouldn't make me any happier.

The only other thing I can think of to watch is Renai Shindan which... HI... won't help.

Lots of squares for the quilt done now, and I just have to do the ones with the alternate dark for the border. Lots of people may be getting lame New Years presents since I'm spending a lot of time on a few projects this year instead of having gotten started earlier.

Anyway, now done playing with computers and back to sewing until I hear from ashitara or mouse_art.

Before now, my best Super HulaHoop (3 min) score ever was while listening to NEWS's "weeeeek".
Tonight I braved 6-minute. Amuro Namie's "Want Me, Want Me" for the first 3 minutes. (OMG SO DEAD!) and then "weeek" again for the left rotations. It was good. Very... just.... omg my thighs.

I am /bad/ at rhythm boxing. Almost as bad as I am at stepping thing.
I have all the Balance games unlocked now. And a shit-ton of Yoga poses and Strength exercises that I've never even done.

Also... am listening to DL5th soundtrack in an attempt to stave off my desire to watch all the episodes of Maoh in sequence while I finish Saku's neck band. /Sorely/ tempted.

Still no sign of work keys. This is a Very Bad Thing (TM). Where the bloody hell can they have gone!?

Am /not/ writing the drabble that I think I'm writing. Just not.

The reviews are getting rather overwhelming. This one focuses mostly on Naoto, emphasizing how much he's lost and his regret and anger at himself over the murders. It gives a much more mixed picture of Naruse, covering everything from moments of his cold-hearted manipulation to the fact that he's lost his whole family and even faked his own death. It makes a point to bring up the reporter a couple of times, both his threats to Naoto and his suspicion of Naruse... even though that was later explained to be less threatening than it sounded.
Leading us right back to where we were last episode. Naoto and Shiori having just found an envelope addressed to Naoto in a book at the library and Naruse visiting his 'sister'.
( This totally runs out of steam by the end, sorry. )

I was explaining this to Jess and realized that at some point I decided that Naoto is in the right here. I love Naruse. I want him to win. but I don't think he needs to be doing what he's doing to be happy, and I think it's a little of a cop out to say that he can't stop now. They both deserve peace, but I think there's no way for this to end peacefully between them.

Played some WiiFit (not enough) and some Brawl.
Downloads of Avatar 3x16 and Himitsu no Arashi-chan 15 are done.
Very excited for new Maoh tomorrow.

Now to sleep.
Damn work in 6.5 hours.

In other news, I played way too much MarioKart today. I still love my Wii. That is all.

[Edit: Also, Maoh Ep. 1. 4:20-4:35. It's only fifteen seconds, but the rhythm and the imagery... so very lovely. The whole scene that follows in the dark room is good too of course but the more I watch that scene (quite a few times now) the more I like how simple and symbolic it was. How much it tells you about Naruse's character. Yes, I'm philosophizing over the shower scene. Let it go.]
