First off... In trying to replace my lost dramas, I've been downloading subtitled versions of my shows. So! Today I got to show the first episode of "Ryuusei no Kizuna" to [profile] ladyofthegate and [personal profile] calhale. I know Jess didn't watch it too closely, but it seemed to go over moderately well. Later we watched Ep. 1 of Ouran... which is so many kinds of awesome that I didn't even remember them all. The current summer watching list is: Ouran, Tutu, FuruBa, Pretear, and... something else?

Last night I watched 5-7 of "Mei-chan no Shitsuji" and I'm in the midst of Episode 8 now.
Babble as usual )

Also... having looked through my DVDs and other harddrives, I have a list of my download priorities for the next little while.

In the midst of my bizarre dreams this morning, I got a call from Best Buy that my laptop was back and once we hauled ourselves out of the house, we went to pick it up. Damien is home and safe and sound, with everything that I left on him in place. Very exciting. Yes.

By the time we got home of course, I had to leave to help sensei fabric shop. Which was actually more fun than you might expect. But then, I'm insane. ^_~

So I'm back! Yay! I got to -160 on my Flist before reaching what I'd seen in the last time I skimmed the list from a public computer, and found some very nice news in those posts.

I also wanted to say THANK YOU /SOOO/ MUCH. To everyone who sent me birthday wishes. It was an awesome and overwhelming weekend and I feel very loved. I appologize for not managing to reply at the time, I'll try to catch up on comments soon.

Anyway. Back to the grind in less than 5 hours now, so I'd best get some sleep.
Happy thoughts and best wishes to all. October always manages to be the hardest month of the year, so hang in there everyone!

It looks like that con report may not be getting done after all.
I've worked about 50 hours in the week since the con. I've slept all of an hour or so in the past 29. I'm in that trembling almost-ok state that I hit around this time. I think the trembling has something to do with actually eating for the first time since a muffin and cold coffee scattered across the hours between 9 am and 2 pm.

I did manage to get most of the girls somewhat trained today that I wanted to. We were stupidly busy, I took no breaks. I got maybe half of Val's list of stuff done. And I managed to do about 1/3 of the dishes (all that would fit in the dishwasher) and take out some trash when I got home.

I made amazing Creamy mushroom chicken ramen. It would be even better with real chicken and some extra mushrooms... but for now, my body thinks it was the best thing ever invented.

Now I think a bit of rum and Pokemon are in order. I know I should try to stay up, but maybe if I sleep now then Jess can wake me when she gets home.

Damien still hasn't gone in to best buy for repairs. I really need to do that soon. -.-;;

Bleh.

Today started a bit unpleasantly at 8 am when I woke up due to the extreme pain and utter lack of blood flow in my right arm. I checked a clock, rolled over and went back to sleep. I was awakened again at ll due to the same problem recurring in my left arm. This did mean that I made myself some lunch, packed another bit of the carnitas and dressings up for my dinner at work and had some time to read Hidden Warrior before I headed in to work (on time!).

Work this week is not a part of Maya's happy place )

[profile] ashitara, [profile] starlit_dragon and [profile] ladyofthegate:
Be ready to be leaving town just after 1 pm tomorrow. Karaoke will be from 3-6-ish and then there will be dinner and revelry at [profile] xrqz2493's place.

Tomorrow before we head for Denver I think I need to take Damien in to Best Buy. The hinge on his screen is broken and we all know where that's heading. Well... I do, having had a computer with a broken screen hinge before. -.-

[Edit: Midnight: *flails* I commented on Okiayu-san's blog for yesterday. To tell him to enjoy his trip (he's in Kyuushu!) andto say 'otsukaresama' about 100-song marathon. Now I'm flaily and nervous for no good reason.]

I keep forgetting things that I need to do, so... list.
-workity work work
-CSU bookstore to get graph paper to pattern Saku's kimono
-Best buy (with Damien) to get the geeksquad to look at my 'hard disk problem' and purchase a nice big external +/or a stack of burnable dvds.
-start on Kagetoki's coat. even if I have to start it by hand.

Edit... Since my computer may eat itself soon I may as well do the itunes quiz now: Read more... )
