AC:R - Day 4 (Multi- and Single Player)
Nov. 20th, 2011 05:12 amToday in Constantinople:
-parachuted from Galata Tower to the river ("Almost Like Flying")
-completed several challenges in Bomb, Assassin, and Mercenaries guild (still working on damn counter-steals)
-found my last unlocked den (thank goodness) and waited an hour to get another templar assault... won with no cannon ("The Iron Curtain") [Discovered that I don't mind tower defence once I have the damn Caltrop Assassins to slow things down, barricades that defend themselves, and when I don't have Robert telling me how to do it.]
-figured out how to station people abroad, recruited replacements, rinse and repeat (still annoyed that you can only get the first six above level 10, but y'know)
-bought enough stuff to have reached the 'money is not a problem' part of the game, but am excited with the prospect of loading my other cities with assassin's and pouring money into the WORLD ECONOMY. Seriously.
-played enough multiplayer to unlock Rhodes
-started trying to conquer the rest of Europe ..... succeeded aproximately 1 hour later.
Still early in sequence 4.
Still not king yet. Am now king of Europe, and all your base are belong to me. So there. XD
Additionally, I am becoming increasingly afraid that William is Al Mualim version 2.0, and want to stab him. In the face. Just saying.
Impressions on the Multiplayer (I did several hours a few days ago and then some more with Julie tonight) are very good actually. I love everything they've done with the interface and getting to choose match types and whatnot. I spent most of the first day in team variants (levels 1-8) and then made it to level 10 all in single player. I still need to play Corruption, Deathmatch, and VIP to get the 'Play All Modes' trophy, but I'm getting there.
I really like the smoothness of the animations, I adore the idea of Honorable Death and contested kills. And the variation between "Deathmatch", "Assassinate", and "Wanted" provides an awesome variety of gameplay.
On the previous day I played "Artifact Assault" was the most fun I've ever had in AC multiplayer.
I'm also really adoring that I can do things without mastering tons of crazy abilities. Seriously. Also, I'm saving up my Abstergo points to buy cool stuff (like new clothes), so I don't have any but the basic ability set yet. XD
Playing is addictive and fun, even when getting my as kicked by level 47 and 50 players. They've made friend invites a lot easier, and also smoothed out the waiting problems. I like that you can hear voice chat when you're near the character, it makes it really interesting when playing with someone you know.
Seriously though, even if I had had to PAY extra for a Uplay passport, it would still have been SO worth it. <3
Anyway. Adore this game. Robert and his talk of shark jumping can take a hike. Granted, they could still fuck up the other 4 Altair memories... but I hope not.
(I watched YouTube videos of the Desmond memories, because I'm a whore. And I love them. I want to play that game. Seriously, I do. I'm so glad he's our main character, and I'm so excited for the rest of his story.)
WTF, why is it 5:30 in the morning!??? Ok, me and my trophies are going to sleep. Damnit. XD
