Le sigh.

I think... that I may be done with the base design layer of Masaomi.

Almost 40 flowers, probably about 25 discreet bunches with about 3-6 leaves each. About 5 of those bunches (and the crest I put at center back) cross a seam and will /hopefully/ line up once I put it together. Now I just have to add shading to about half of them, gold outlining to about 3/4 of them and then purple outlining to ALL of them.
And /then/ I can start on assembly of the kimono and lining. >.>
Who me? No, I'm not crazy. Not at all. Just taking temporary leave of my senses. It's completely voluntary.
My biggest worry right now is that my technique changed so much from the sleeves (painted first) to the ends of the body (just finished) that there will be an obvious disconnect between them. There's also a pretty big blank space at the back of the left upper body. I actually like it for the assymetry and balance it provides, but... I could only think that because I really don't want to paint another flower there. At this point, I am /so/ tempted to just stop with gold outlining. I might even stop without outlining at all if I hadn't already added gold to several flowers.

For the second time in my life, I really really want to purchase a proper kimono rack. They make ones that break down and aren't super-pretty for not all that expensive. On the other hand... how often do I really need it? On the other other hand, how many damned Haruka costumes are in my future?

[EDIT: *cries* NEEEEEEEED. I knew they'd hook me into buying a PSP (or stealing Jess's) somehow. Why must you kill me so, Koei?!]
[EDIT EDIT: And that whole 'Buy all three and get a calendar and other fabulous prizes campaign'? Really Koei? You're a bunch of bastards. You /know/ I don't need Forte. :| But I /do/ need a calendar. Hn.]
