We sat, transfixed by the movement.
the shifting and changing of the flames
the fire burned. twisting and soaring in the air
only to drop once again to no more than a candle.
Consuming all, calming fears and uncertainty consumed by all
A team is born, a friendship forged,
people brought together by the flame

The trees saw, through the night the girls watched.
One replacing another as time went on.
The threes saw, whispered conversations staring into the flame.

We watched as one, together in the flame.

(My inscription from the beginning of my first journal:)
Being the retelling of actual events in the life of Maya L. Landman with certain poetic license taken in the telling of events in poem, short story, or song.
Some events may be describes as would scenes in a play, narrated in the second or third person and without any or prominent storyline.
