If there's a right way to make princes...

setraI went on a quest for "Tadashii Ouji no Tsukurikata" tonight. And the /only/ place I ended up finding it was on YouTube of all places.
I'm going to go ahead and put a disclaimer here: I'm probably going to be hard on Yanagi in this and other posts about this show. I want to explain that I /do/ like him. And that I was aware of his problems and upset about them and defending him as early and for as long as a lot of people.
When I heard about this drama, someone was going 'OMG YANAGI!' Now, while I'm always interested in seeing how much the little darling has improved - in this case, basically not at all - that's not a great reason to watch a show.
When Doori posted and said how cool Aiba was in it, I knew I had to watch it. When, in searching for it, I saw that Renn and Takki and Nagayan were in it too... that sounded like fun.
When I finally watched it and it had /Kawai/ too? Ok, fine, I'm in for the duration.
Yanagi plays pretty and silent. He spends most of his time standing/sitting still and reading. This is good, since his speech is still not up to par and the one time he walked on camera it still felt awkward (unless that's all acting and believe me - I'd love to be proven wrong).
Aiba (2nd/3rd Gen Fuji) shows off a spectacular Atobe impersonation and adds some nice use of his English vocab (like 'Yeah baby'). His character is a snot, but I love him and his crooked teeth anyway. Even with the unnecessary perm.
Takki (Takiguchi Yukihiro - PureBoy and 3rd Cast Oishi) plays so far the most interesting character to me. I hope he'll get a development episode before long. Unlike the rest of the boys, I want to know what's up with him.
Renn seems to be playing himself, only a little more crazy and over the top and a lot less cool. I wonder what he'll end up like when they start taming him. His hair is fun though, with lots of crazy options.
Takeda Kouhei basically reprises his role from HanaKimi, give or take a bit of shirt(mostly give, unfortunately), and without the rest of dorm 2 to keep him crazy, he looks to be on his way to toning down nicely. Quite pretty.
Kawai plays a grown up. Nagayan does not. Both are teachers. ^^;;
Several of the lead girls are quite lovely as well, and judging by message board and blog posts, there are as many fanboys watching the show for them as there will be fangirls watching it for the boys.
For those who are interested in Yanagi, Aibacchi, Renn, Takki, Takeda Kouhei (and Kawai and Nagayan!) and a variety of other pretty boys (and girls) in a drama about making crazy boys into normal people:

I'm working on a way to get actual video off of these... please let me know if you have direct downloads or anything. I think I'll be watching this show happily.
