Yeah. Now we know who was likely behind the inability of Tokio or their music to appear in the American release of Kodocha. Thank you Johnny's Enternainment.
These boys - and men - aren't just idols. They are singers, dancers, actors, models and top-class celebrities, all at once. They've given up their lives to the company. Their faces, their bodies, their careers, love lives, and everything else. This isn't like D-Boys where you can drop out and move on. Not like Marvelous or Koei which can spring board you into another label or another line of work. As far as I can tell, once you debut in Johnny's, there is no end. They /are/ your success and you are theirs.
There's some scandal and exceptions to this with the NEWS suspensions, but I don't think they get out even so.
Seeing things like this actually tones down my love of Arashi a little. Only a little, because at the same time, I think they're one of the best groups that JE has right now, and they're a very talented group of young men. And they seem very genuine in their dedication and energy, more than some of the others I've seen.

Hana Yori Dango -Returns- ...episodes 5-7.
That's my main problem. Rui and Shigeru. Because they are the ones who have been patient and positive and strong and desicive... and in the end they aren't going to be rewarded. I'm glad that Tsukushi and Tsukasa will be happy. Maybe. But I don't think it will be easy for them either, and they've put the others through so much...
I love Rui. and in all honesty, I like Shigeru too. She just wants to be a normal girl, and she has the benefit of being able to please her family at the same time. Rui... Rui has been so patient, and calm... and when he made his choice he made it for keeps and meant to handle it properly.
Tsukasa never did that. He dithered and hid his feelings, and failed to talk to her.... it was frustrating.
As for Tsukushi... she's been through a lot, and she's stronger for it. When she was focused and determined, I had respect for her... but the way she's been wibbling between them... it makes me twitchy.
And then there was the last episode. With Soujirou,and Yuki... and seeing Sara call him 'Jiroh' made me cry twice over. For different reasons of course. I hope that he and Yuki get together. And I hope Akira finds... someone. Not Okami-san... a proper lady (prefferably from Kansai) who will treat him well.
And Rui. I want Rui to be happy. He deserves it. I don't think he'll get Tsukushi, and if he did he'd be living always with the knowledge that he was second best... I don't think that's fair to him.
...you may note that I didn't say much about Domyouji. That's because I'm not terribly pleased with him right now. His handling of Shigeru is upsetting me. His failure to communicate is also... things are only going as well for him as they are right now because his sister helped and his mother is out of town.
