Boys and thier swords...

setraWhat caused me to wake up before 8 am... I have no idea.
The fact that I had a shiny /complete/ torrent is probably responsible for me not falling back asleep for an hour or so though...
Because, I have Bleach-Myu. So you get my notes on it:
So the show opens with a massive number in which they all have swords... ok, almost all of them. Then for the song they switch to hand mics. My brain was busy mulling over the fact that Tuti and Nagayan had silver hair and that they and MoriEiji all had swords, so I didn't pick up many lyrics. (I was correct in my guess that from now on, I would hear 'te ni suru...' as 'TE-NI-SU...' ~_~;;
The 'plot' continues on into a couple of flashback sequences to episodes that I /have/ seen. The present-time of the show appears to be while Rukia is missing... but they have bonding moments between flashbacks.
At this point /no/ time whatsoever is taken to explain ANYTHING. I am dead serious. I only have any clue what is up because I have seen a couple of episodes and read a couple of fics.
It wasn't until after several more songs - including a sweet Renji-Rukia one - when we met Urahara and got a bit of explanation... and then only sketchy stuff about Soul Society. A song and s fight sequence with Orihime and the other dude and we're into a flashback with Renji and Rukia. Byakuya shows up too... Oh dear lord, who was foolish enough to give MoriEiji a sword? *grins*... especially a fancy spikey one... *headdesk* He's a perfect Renji though. I can just tell...
Sadly by this point, I'm barely guessing at plot... but hey, I guess I just need to watch more Bleach, right?
There's a break... after which Uraharaservices chats with the audience.
Then Tuti, Nagayan and MoriEiji dance. <3 Then Nagayan gets a solo. Leading me to go: Damn, he's gotten good! His voice modulation isn't as good as Tuti or MoriEiji, but maybe that's character appropriate.
All the taicho introduce themseleves. The fangirls sqee. And then Byakuya gets a song. With backup dancers. Leading me to be certain yet again that MoriEiji and Nagayan /needed/ to be in tenimyu for the MomoKiku/OshiGaku doubles match.
Renji gets a dance break/solo as well. And man... his ability to dance and sing has actually gotten quite impressive! ^_^
Ichimaru (=Tuti) gets a solo next... and he pulls out a shotgun mic as well (Nagayan had one to start out). ANd I honestly thing he's enjoying this /way/ too much... I mean, he finally gets to lead a massive group number all on his own.
I take it back - they're ALL having way too much fun. And I just realised that I think what they're chanting is "death!"
Then Nagayan pulls his best 'bucho' impression - (Brain just registered that that's exactly what he's doing for this role... and it makes me giggle) - to tell Renji to go have a solo song. As long as it's ok with Byakuya. ^_^ So he a Rukiya have a sweet flashback song.
The hell is it with Tuti and Nagayan being all flirty on stage? It's wierd. And Tuti has no HANDS half the time! Also wierd. *snicker* I think Nagayan is being lecherous... or maybe just angsty and obscure... who knows.
Ichigo-tachi shows up... and after some other stuff we get Ichimaru and Ichigo. DEAR GOD HE SPEAKS IN KANSAI-BEN! *is in love*
And I think he really does have angst with Nagayan (who's name I still haven't caught). He's also more than a little cracked and Ichigo calls him kitsune-yarou.^__^
(Note to check - I think 5-gumi-taicho (Aizen?) is SeiRuMyu Tezuka...)
K, I fell asleep after some angst over Aizen while Renji and Ichigo were in a pissing contest over Rukia... (I mean, honestly, what's the point when everyone already has thier swords out and we can /see/ whose is bigger?)
Here's the rest of my comments from before I fell asleep:
Girls
Time and time again, I was sorta suprised that there were /girls/ on stage. They're good, too. Orihime and Rukia both look great. And the 5th squad fuku-taicho is so sweet and adorable... I was surprised though at Rukia's school uniform looking, well, normal, rather than anime. Becasuse they didn't do the high-waist trick from SeraMyu. Which leads into my next set of comments...
Costumes
The kimono on the shinigami are slightly shiny black and stuffed a bit like sensei wanted out Makubesu kimono. Thier hakama are satin! I would not normally approve of this... but it works. here.
Wigs
They all have perfect anime-hair. And it looks freaking awesome! I'm serious, cosplayers would kill for these wigs.
Swords
They were cool, if a little smaller than manga proportions. And the fight coreography was actually quite spectacular. After the Renji I met in line at AX, MoriEiji's sword looks kinda... meh. But he can swing it and dance with it, and bang it against Ichigo's sword, so hey. ^^
And that was thir morning, I slept a bit more, maybe bringing me up to 4 hours or so... and now it's time to restart my computer and let it get over the terrible lag it's been suffering.
Then work, then home. I'm hoping for a quiet night tonight, since I work even earlier sunday, and still have two days of closing on sale days left, followed by the truck on tues.
