Polishing metal for headmbands(This is really just headband stuff and more hardcore that you are likely to want to be)

Wah~! I'm tried and sore, and I /LOVE/ this costume! Every step I take it just gets more and more gorgeous. Putting it on made me feel like, well, being wrapped in his arms. I like that feeling. I'm sad I won't have Rosalia for this con, but I think that this costume will more than make up for it if I pull it off. Need a mask and hat... still at a loss on the hat. The sleeves look good at 30" and despite messing up my first cloud, I still feel good about it. The front will be hell.... especially since the small flower on the back took me forty minutes to applique. And I may be hand-embroidering spiderwebs in the reg line... but hey, it'll keep me entertained, right?
I don't know if it was finally time, or if it really was breaking the walls by force and staying up with TenniPri all night to sew, but I seem to be back in the groove. It was almost 9 months with NOTHING and now I realize just how silly I was being... or what wierd tricks my subconcious was playing on me.
No work tomorrow and I'm looking forward to a long chunk of time working on this. Still need to replace neckbands and sleeves on the Lady M kimono and make a black layer. I have so much red left over (like...2.6 yards. It was just the perfect width to not need the extra length. >_<;;) that I'm considerin g either lining the lower back and wrap with it (instead of the cannon white or the tempting black). Otherwise, I think I might make a jacket. I can applique the scraps from all the Akram appliques onto it and it would look awesome... maybe. Anyway, I think I might try to steal Kat's camera when she comes home tomorrow night and post photos, because this costume makes me really happy.
I'm still also debating hight and attachment method for the collar band on the noshi (that's what this crazy-style robe is called, apparently). I want to make it like 2 inches... but I worry that that's too tall. And the neck hole being much wider that I should have cut it across the shoulders is troubling. Really, the truth of the neck will come when it is on over three layers of kimono. I also need a mens obi or two. One in black or navy and one for the unederlayers. ^^ And the YELLOW, which I failed to remember that I needed during the massive sale and may now have to pay more for... ;_; But I have a good plan for that, I think. I also need to put Shimon back together, finish his lining, and repair Olivie. Then I have three costumes, and Reika and Hokuto to wear for fun. Five costumes, three or four days... sounds sensible, right?
I've also been contemplating travel. I think Akram will fit in the furoshiki that I still have from sensei (I will take it back, I just keep forgetting or losing it!), and Shimon will fit in the smaller one that I got at the end of the year (it's housing two ex-Lady M layers right now, and I don't think it would fit around another layer, undergarments, and the noshi). Those go in my suitcase (with the mask protected in layers of kimono, and the hat stuffed with clothes or something). My garment bag goes as usual to Olivie. I might squish Reika in there with him, and Hokuto's skirt. It's looking like Olivie won't get a new wig yet again, so no one look at my head in direct sunlight unless you'd like to go blind. He will have new boots though... special nice boots that will let me bend, walk, sit, kneel, lounge and all the things a good transvestite should be able to do. ^_^
It's acutally starting to look like shipping some stuff in a box overnight would be a decent idea. Mel's collar needs to get out there, and is a nightmare to pack. Ange's hoop skirt will probably be equally annoying to pack in s suitcase, and Akram's hat and some of Olivie's jewelry would be better off in a box than in a suitcase or garment bag as well. Split three ways, the shipping might not even be that bad... *ponders* Anyway, something to think about.

I heard at Joanne's yesterday that I have the job. *so happy* Tara hasn't called back officially yet, but I may be starting training really soon.

I think listing a current bishounen at the moment would be both obvious, and grossly inadequate... and I think he falls into the biseinen category anyway. ^^
