But that's not the point. That's escapism.
Last night, a Kansai Gaidai Exchange Student from Australia was hit by a taxi while riding her bike home from campus. She was taken to the hospital unconcious and died without waking up.
Her name was Taryn. I didn't know her, I don't even know if I'd met her. But Andy knew her, and Alice... people who I've become friends with even in these few weeks. And it could have been any of us, Elliot or Chris or Matt or Tim... Kat or myself even.
It's amazing how much impact one person can have. At my age, I haven't thought much about losing people... but it can happen... and it shakes the foundations of my world.
