No sympathy for the lazy

So that twisting feeling that I had in my stomach last night has moved on up to my head and chest. I'm developing the sneaking suspicion that it isn't just financial stress.
I'm begining to wish that I had the last month or so to go back and live again. I did so little when I needed to do so much, and now I have to work triple time to catch up.... and with my luck, my body chooses now to get the flu.
Ah well, Ces't la vie. Shikata ga nai, ne.
So I'm leaving work and hour-plus early in order to go work on Kanji and maybe catch a quick nap... because I think that's really what I need.
It's a shame that Jpop/techno can't be injected intravenous, it would be like sleep, caffine, and ibuprofen all in one.
Plans for Japan are pulling together, just a little slower than I (and the schools) would like. I'll be paying $15 for an overnight letter to Kansai with my photos and papers sometime later today. I swear, if my stupidity ruins this for me, I'll never forgive myself.
Right, off to do useful things, which LJ - while addictive - is not.

Bishonen: Hattori (He's a doctor, even if he is mean, he'd know what to do). Maybe I should make stewed leeks tonight...

Brace yourself

This is going to get ranty, so rather than replying/commenting to Salem's post, I'll make my own. This is her fault for having linked me to Piro's rant, which I probably wouldn't have read otherwise.
So here goes... ( A Rant on Dubs... and other things )

Well, wow... that was a rant. I think it wasn't as long as Piro's... but it was a lot more pointless. So... now I'm off to Japanese soon. That only took 45 minutes. *sigh*

Paperwork!

Which should be turned in right now... and instead I'm filling it out. I just hope the Credit forms can go pretty fast... this could be bad. And I left my folder of vital papers in the lab! Now I need to go back to campus to get them, and then to the post office or FedEx place to mail them. I feel like I'm chasing after a bunch of deadlines and hoping that they'll slow down and wait for me.
And I have two or three "good" poems to write for tommorow. Anyone have any good topic ideas? Aya, Yohji and Schudig are all out... unless I'm really desperate. Luckily I've been able to go whole minutes without thinking about Weiss lately, or I'd really be screwed.
More later, most likely, it's one of those days.
