Well, hello journal.

setraKat and I can't decide who's been dragging the other out to explore, but we've been doing a lot of it.
After a grand fiasco of misunderstandings and bervouse breakdowns at Kyoto-eki, I managed to get to Kansai Gaidai on tuesday night and check in in time to go out for dinner with Kat and some people. Yesterday was all orientations and tests and then a little exploring to find a place for dinner. Upon returning, we watched Naruto and hung out with some girls (and a cool guy) who were here last semester, and later we stole to TV to play Angelique Duet (I started a game as Rosalia (who I named Setra), still need to let Kat start a game as Ange. ^_^).
This morning was registration, where I got some spiffy-cool classes. Afterwards I got to meet the mythical Andy (aka Evain) who came in on Kat's flight, as well as a friend of his named Dale. We had many discussions about computer games and D&D over lunch, and he showed us the sneaky hidden caffeterias. After another three hours of orientation, Kat and I walked down to Hirakata-shi and explored a department store. We also found the store where people have been buying video games and I procured copies of FFVIII and Shadow of Memories. Almost bought Trois... but we decided to wait and look work it used. We failed to find the Book-Off, but the station isn't that bad a walk at all, so I'm sure we'll be exploring it more.
The dorms are beautiful, as is the whole campus. Tomorrow, we're taking a trip into Kyoto to learn about the transportation system (well, for those who didn't already get here by train) and to see some sights. Eventually, Dale and I will be heading into Osaka to begin our repsctive export busineses, but that will be another few days.
Classes begin monday, but if the first two days have felt this long, I can't even really think that far in advance. I hope everything is well back in the states (and elsewhere, for my few friends not in the US of A.). I finnally have AIM, and someday I'll be on at an hour reasomable to talk to people 16 hours behind. Now I'm gonna run and see if that guy is still watching "Last Dracul" on the kitchen TV or if I can steal it to play FFVIII.
Potential Youma of the Day: The little orange cat with eerily yellow eyes that we saw on the way back from campus this afternoon.
Current Bishounen: Squall/Leon (Because Kat was ranting about Kingdom Hearts. ^_^)
