Rambly Life-Update Post.

Day 6 complete and now I get a whole day off!
Today... Shawna and I went to Aurora to rescue a store that.... needs some help. Basically... even with what we and the craft-team from Loveland were able to do today, it's extremely unlikely that they will pass their upcoming audit. Theory is that it might be Friday. It's possible that it will be another few weeks, but it /will/ happen.
I... could write a long and probably eloquent /rant/ on the problems of this store, the management of this store, and what we spent the eight and a half hours that we were there /doing/... but it would all just get me more worked up. Long story short, Shawna now shares the pain that I always have when I visit other stores which is both nice and sad, since no one should have to be as scared and upset as she was walking that store today.
Since several people have asked, things are much better at my store. And will be even more better soon. I did talk with my boss a bit, and we appear to have settled things. With Inventory and the RVP visit over with for now, we're all hoping things will settle for a while, though it is August, so the roughest quarter of the year is still ahead of us.
I'm at a pretty much total standstill on Kiyomori... mostly because I broke the rhythm I had going and am a bit nervous to start back up. I /did/ however, get a couple yards of a /beautiful/ white brocade at the ARC last week and think it will work much better than what I had for his white layer. Additionally, we got in some new houndstooth suitings at work, so I have a new possibility for P4 costumes. Though I'm tempted to try to just throw together their casual outfits and buy wigs instead.
That pretty much covers my life updates. More tomorrow since I won't have work to distract me. :D
On an unrelated note, Corina and I figured out that the Heike memorial site thing I linked to before is most likely actually way way south at 赤間神宮, near the site of the Dan-no-Ura battle. Too far for her to see.
Also also, I was looking at and very satisfied with the results of the World Cosplay Summit and from there found an article on drug use and Japanese celebrities. I find myself made vaguely annoyed by one phrase in the article I read before it: "[The man] told investigators that he purchased stimulants from a foreigner." Because THAT'S a useful and important description to add. Remember, citizens, that while we want foreigners to teach English and also to spend money in our country.... THEY ARE ALL EVIL DRUG DEALING VILLAINS. Next on your news at five....
