The first fourty minutes or so of the Time concert is something I am /so/ happy to own. I'm sure I'll need it come costume crunch time before NDK.

Anyway.... I really don't have anything to say except that I am once again, as always, in /love/ with Arashi. Not just one or two of them (though I still have my favorites). I am in love with /them/ as a group. Singing and dancing and smiling and laughing in pink pants or rediculous feathered coats. All of it.

Details
And I find myself noticing little things. Like that leader botched a line in 'Oh Yeah', swapping the second verse for the first. Or that Nino was obviously dance leader for his platform in 'Love Situation', you can see him moving to center front earlier than Sho and Aiba, and being more careful of his steps and movements than he is a lot of the time.
I also hadn't noticed before now how they worked the single and double platforms to go from 'Love Situation' to 'A Day in Our Life'. And then from there slid out onto the individual platforms for 'Hadashi no Mirai'

Leader
Watching Leader makes me really really happy. As good as me may be at anything else that they do, it's in concerts that he shines. He's smiling constantly, especially in the most demanding group dance numbers. What I still can't tell is whether or how much of 'Song for Me' is lipsynced. It's clear that there's a lot of backup vocal there in any case. And it's clear that his mic /is/ live. I wouldn't blame him at all for trusting the bgm to carry some of the vocal, given that his dancing is rather intense... but it clearly doesn't effect his support or

Ohmiya
The first MC cut out is right after 'Hadashi no Mirai' and obviously covered the costume change before Hero too. I'm guessing whatever Ohmiya fanservice there was in this concert was in that MC, partially because it's cut and partially because it's the end of hero that has the infamous "kiss".

Jun
Jun's solo still gets me. His outfit is so bad. But he looks so fucking happy. Not just smiling-because-you-love-me or teasing smiles happy. Like genuinely 'this is the greatest thing that's ever happened' Happy. I have to admit, I like him being MatsuJun better than Domyouji. I would never have thought of specifying this until the HYD premiere special.

I love that I can pick them out from halfway across the dome based just on their movement styles.

Costumes
So far there's been a red set (Sho's color) for the opening. The yellow and black set (Nino's color) for 'Yes?No?' etc. I remember thinking that those rediculous feathered coats were rather green (Aiba's color) and now there's the "Cry for You" set which is very much purple with rich fuchsia highlights (Jun's colors). We're only missing Blue.... and I think there's a set coming actually... Hmmmm. Other than those, there's only the pink "Love Situation" set, the red, white and blue set from Hero, and the sparkly suit set.
And of course, the color-matched set (made ENTIRELY of sequins) for 'Pika**Nchi Double' and 'A.RA.SHI' which I think must have been concealed /under/ the purple set... unless they actually ran away and quick-changed while Aiba introduced the dancers... I'll have to go recheck that.
I actually rather like a couple of the coats from the purple set. They're all patchworky and cool. I would like to note that Aiba almost always gets the coolest jackets. He also has zippers all over his thighs in this set.

They should totally release a new single for 'A.RA.SHI'... one in which they don't look like jailbait and where they actually sound like themselves and not babies.

Adoration
I still /adore/ the last MC bit of the main part... Sho's comments are so very Aquarian. Aiba is a darling. And then there's Nino. So easily picking up the lull, keeping everyone entertained, teasing just a little. And then Jun, making everything deeper and more meaningful that you expectected. In HD you can still see the pockmarks on his perfect complexion from his awkward teenage years. You can see the vague shadow of stubble on his and Nino's upper lips. And there's something quieting and stunning about that to me. That they're /real/... they wake up every morning and shave, fix their hair, go to work. And they are Arashi. It's what they do, who they are. And that's remarkable to me. More than my other boys for some reason, these five astound me. They are so passionate, so talented, so determined... and yet, no matter how many other dramas or movies they do, they always come back to this place. This stage. And the other four people who make them what they are.
Ten years ago they debuted in a tiny performance hall at a hotel in Hawaii. This summer they tour overseas in Korea and Taiwan for the second time in three years.

I'm glad I watched this today... because after 5 pm... it will be a while before I'm thinking about them again. ....see... there was this little orange slip on my door when I got home from work today... :D

Tonight: Expect fangirling of an entirely different variety. The kind that involves seiyuu on stage at the Pacifico Yokohama. ^__^
