Episode 12
Top 12 Girls Performances - 60s Theme
Christie Lee Cook (***) - She's lovely. And generic. Good enough opening performance. I wasn't as hard on it as the judges were, but meh.
Joanne Borgella (***) - I want this girl to win. She's just beautiful. Her performance was ok, not perfect by a long shot, but still.
Alaina Whitaker (***) - She's got a voice... and the nice skinny good looks, I guess. Her song was a nice updating of the original, but... not stuck in my head.
Amanda Overmyer (****) - I don't know why I'm obsessed with her, but I am. She's got this voice that I love. Her look is a little over the top, and her voice isn't as good as Dana(from Across the Universe).
Amy Davis (**) - I like her hair better down. Pitch issues though. Nervousness is bad for you. A little boring.
Brooke White (**) - Squeek. The problem is that no one will beat David's performance of this song from ep 11. Also, she seemed a little unsure what to do with herself on stage.
Alexandrea Lushington (****) - Ok. Her voice isn't exactly my type, and there were a couple of pitch and breathing issues on her higher notes. But the version of the song? Awesome! A new choice, a good confident performance with a modern interpretation.
Kady Malloy (***) - Ok, I want her to kick the bucket just from looks, but her voice is something. I liked the performance and the song well enough. Huh.
Asia'h Eperson (****) - <3 Voice, presence, determination, looks. Win, girl, just win.
Ramiele Malubay (****) - Even more hearts. In general, I adore her. Very Cabaret feeling to her performance. She needs to take it up a notch, but her voice is just so lovely.
Syesha Mercado (*****) - Ok, I love this girl's voice. And freaking great performance. Strong, consistent, upbeat, powerful. Yes, I gave someone five stars. This doesn't happen often.
Carly Smithson (***) - I'll admit it. I've been biased toward liking her since the beginning. She's got the voice and the poise and everything. And I liked her mic technique. A good performance despite her
Syesha and Alexandrea took the night for me.

Group performance and Eliminations Top 24->Top 20
Is it bad that I'm like .... 'ah, boys. You just lost. You sound worse than News. Stop singing together, you sound worse than News. Hell, you sound less coordinated than the juniors."
I just realized that's what Idol is. Shounen Club for America.
*snerk* It's all over now.
Garret out is fine with me, he was kinda... meh. His voice is good, but no stage presence.
Amy out isn't surprising since, y'know, I forgot she existed anyway.
Failure and out of tune on her singing out too.
Nonononono~! *flails* I like Amanda and Joanne. *pout*
I know Joanne lost herself there, but... *sigh* Sad. I like that the other girls look sad too. So many pathetic cardboard cutouts on that stage... why couldn't one of them have gone home.
Oh good, either of these two can kick it and I won't care. Hah. Ok. Byebye yucky boy.
I'm posting these rants because I have no where and no one else to vent them at. I promise to be back to proper Japanese boybands and Dramas in the near future. ^_^
