It's 4-something in the morning. I'm listening to "Aozora-pedaru" and crying. Why? You ask?

Well... so... I went to lie in bed and started poking YouTube. (Bad plan, I know.) Looking at Crystal Kay videos made me want to see that hiphop dance movie "Honey" that I saw on a plane back from Japan once. Searching for 'honey movie' mesome fun dance videos and also produced links to 'honey and clover movie'... I've been meaning to look into this series ever since it utterly baffled me at MAS while I was at Detour, so on a whim I poked at it.

1) So the voice of the main boy (Takemoto) started up in the beginning and I went 'wait...' and then there he was... Sakurai Sho. Everyone's favorite singer/actor/Keio graduate. (Well, mine anyway. *loves*) In this, of course, he was cute and a little nerdy rather than sparkly, half-naked and rapping. I quite enjoy him in either state, I discovered. (I don't enjoy him as much as a Yankee... but that was Pika*nchi and we don't talk about that.)
2) Around part 4 or 5 (out of 12 total), I messaged Kat's away-ness to ask her to explain the plot, because I was pretty confused and couldn't seem to get anything but occational names to match up with the episode of the anime that I saw at MAS back in March.
3) Around part 9 I didn't care anymore. The characters are involving, the acting was good. The music was fabulous (the insert songs being in english really impacted me for some reason). Morita's actor reminded me of Takumi in build, appearance and acting style... only, like... he can actually /act/. It was awesome. Hagumi was adorable and awesome as well. You could /feel/ how involved she was in her art. I loved it.
4) The ending was awesome, though it felt a little like I wished I had the extra back story and development that manga or anime could have given me. Ah well.

The ending credits were lovely. First, it was a Spitz song for the closing. Which made me all fuzzy in that way that only the Spitz singer's voice can do. Then, just as the caption came up to tell me that all the in-movie music was by Yoko Kanno (*swoon* No /wonder/ I felt it all tugging at my heartstrings.) And then.... well, then the second ending theme was Arashi's "Aozora-pedaru" and suddenly I was in tears. It's one of the songs on TIME that was also in the AAA-Taipei concert, and I've been growing somewhat fond of it lately... so it showing up then and there... just hit me.

Now, for sleep.
Tomorrow is my day off, and I'm looking forward to spending some quality time with Harry, Ron and Hermione
