Tennis is the most exciting thing ever.

I wasn't going to make a post about playing Saikyou Team. Mostly because it's my first run through and I have no idea how it will go. But I had to post about this.
My second match, against Kamio's team (which includes Tezuka, Yanagizawa and Kaidoh) is so far the coolest thing I've seen yet. Shishido and Gakuto just took their first game against Tezuka-Yanagizawa (I wasn't anticipating Tezuka in doubles and didn't stack appropriately)... they're still two games down but actually winning on stamina at this point. The awesome thing? The final shot of last game was taken by Shishido with a normal return, no techniques. It was returning a shot by Yanagisawa that had gotten 100% team support behind it. It didn't just mess with Duck boy, oh no. It messed with THEM ALL! *bwahahaha*
^_^ Why yes, I do think Shishido-Mukahi doubles pwn all. Yes I do. Even if they lost in the end.
Next game though, I'm putting Tezuka on my team just for the sake of benching his fucking zero-shiki. Cheese, I tell you. CHEESE!
And being an idiot I put Atsushi in singles 2... against Kaidoh. Damnit. It won't get around to Atobe in S1.... ok... ok... this could almost work. Come on Kisarazu.
Unfortunately, he seems incapable of breaking Kaidoh's service game... *snerk* Unless I'm talking bad about him on LJ, then he rocks. <3 We're not going to discuss the fact that he's beating Kaidoh on stamina. I guess with Kamio coaching him, that wasn't as important. ^^ Damn, but I am so in love with Kisarazu Atsushi right now.
And now for the final... Atobe versus Kamio. *blink* Am I worried? Should I be?
While I typed that, Atobe won his first game. He's now at break point on Kamio's service game. Though Kamio did just score a point. /Then/ Atobe won. I am beginning to think my stamina training might have been overkill. Kamio keeps shocking Atobe by defeating one of his moves. It didn't stop Atobe from kicking his ass in straight sets though. ^^
Next match is against Hiyoshi's team: Kirihara, Aoi and Ryoma. Brat team, got it.
First up, ShishiGaku versus Kirihara-Aoi.
Damnit, the training last night left Shishido's stamina low. Gakuto will have to carry the game. *flinches* That's not as unlikely as it sounds. Though they are pwning me pretty well. Damnit. I got a 100% team-support for Shishido though... which is nice to see. No one loves Gaku or Fuji that much. Kirihara is beating Gakuto. *glare* Yeah, no, Kirihara is a jerk. Damnit. Here's hoping on Fuji and Atobe for the win then...
Fuji vs. Hiyoshi. Rallying for the win... on and on and on... *rolls eyes*
And Fuji FTW. 3-game sets, 1 set match. End.
Now for Atobe vs Ryoma... o_O
Well, that's two points down with no trouble. But it is Atobe's service game. Hametsu e no rondo gets us to match point. And on into the second game... where hatbrat is running rapidly out of stamina. Amatures.
Did I mention before that Hametsu e no Rondo is about the sexiest thing ever? Yeah. Shattering black rose petals and all. <3
Well shit. Atobe upset over Hametsu e no rondo being defeated and into Duece-advantage Ryoma wasn't really my plan. He seems to be doing well though. And there's a nicely returned tech to shock Ryoma heading into the third game. Atobe is just /good/. Really freaking good. I can't imagine how amazing some of those characters I was seeing on the website must be, with nearly max stats.
*glares at Ryoma* Ok, you can stop taking games right now. One is plenty.
Thank you. Game set with Hametsu e no Rondo. I's a happy kitty.
Dangit. The final is against Mizuki's team. With Tachibana, Dabide and Yuushi. ;_; They crushed me in practice. Though maybe if I bottom stack with Atobe in S2, I can make it...
Ok, so I forgot to bottom stuck, but Tachibana is in S1 anyway. And all I have to say is that every time Shishido and Gakuto have a little cut-scene moment, I fall madly in love with them all over again.
A really beautiful game for these two in the finals. Dabide and Yuushi are particularly strong in Yuushi's service game, so we did lose that, but the rest was a clean demonstration of what good combination can do that manzai-combi just can't. ^_^
Next up, Fuji vs Sengoku.
This is not an easy fight. And Fuji has to fight for every point. But he has the stamina advantage, and so far he's doing well.
Yes! Championship point - game, set, match - Fuji. ^_^
In other news: PIPPIN IN JAPANESE! Coreographed by Ueshima-sensei with TeniMyu boys in the cast~! I NEED to go to Japan in the fall. NEED, do you hear me?
