And then there was Japan...
Jan. 6th, 2006 03:32 amNo, I didn't go there. But everyone say "Welcome Home" to
rkold who has probably just got back. ^__^
Tonight after work,
balrenpicked me up and we watched the last two thirds or so of Genshiken. Love that show. Love Japan. There's something innately great about a show whose final dramatic concusion is the formation of a doujinshi circle. <3 I adore the sheer acuracy with which it portrays so many levels of otaku-dom in Japan. It made me feel almost proud that Mina clearly lumps me in with that sort of group. I feel like there is hope for reclaiming the term 'otaku' as one of pride now, no matter what other people say. ^___^
I would also like to state for the record that I adore the Prince of Tennis, and all the tiny details that give us love, like knowing that Kisarazu Ryou sleeps with his hair down. ^^;;
And then...
