I didn't see that coming...
Sep. 29th, 2005 11:34 pmApparently, it was recently announced that Do As Infinity is breaking up. I went to check on concert tours, seeing them mentioned in the latest email from @pia. And... yeah. Their Last Live is in November in the Budoukan. Tickets are now in pre-reserve.
This to me, is decimating. I adore DAI. They've been, hands-down, my favorite Japanese band for going on 4 years now. And I was supposed to see them live on thier last tour (and now I know it was thier /last/ tour and not just thier most recent)... the one when I got deported.
This means that they won't be touring in summer when I go with Kat. They won't be touring ever. There won't be a new album out next year, I won't be able to join thier fanclub or go to thier concerts while I live in Japan. Yep. (Will not see this as one more reason to wish I wasn't going to Yaoi-con, because school would probably prevent me from going anyway.)
But, I guess this means I really do need to buy thier single collection (which came out yesterday on my b-day, so I was seeing it as fate and thinking about it anyway). Hopefully I can still get the first pressing, and maybe the one with a DVD.
Oh, other news for today: Happy 21st Birthday to Carl and happy 19th to Shishido Ryou (of TenniPri)!
