Christmassy DOOM! ^_^

setra...and stuff.
So... it's been like a week and I'm feeling very happy right now. (Though rather young too, so look out). So here comes a vauge attempt at an organized summary of the last several days.
Friday- 20 December
Don't remember a whole lot about the day, went to Tornadoes that night with Nick, Craig, Carnes, and Kat(Muller)... which was fun. I got to dance with a Drag Queen! Which is a frikking cool story if nothing else. Unfortunately, it's been 5 days and my ears still ring pretty badly, which is a little scary.
Saturday- 21 December
Hung around the house mostly and made lip-balm with Rob and his friend Sarah. That was fun.
Sunday- 22 December
In the morning I got woken up by a phone and went over to Corina's for breakfast, which was really nice. We fell out of touch for a lot of reasons and I miss her, I hope we can be closer again.
I think it was that afternoon that my mom and Arella took me shopping. It was bitter cold outside, but we went out anyway. I spent most of the gift certificate that mom gave me for my birthday, mostly by force. ^_^;; Started feeling a little sick and very cold.
Monday- 23 December
I finally got pulled out of bed by the doorbell ringing (combined with the fact that the mail truch was outside). And low and behold - after 7 business days, my life was perfect. I now have Angelique and Fushigi no Kuni no Angelique. The first seems to be almost exactly the same as the one I've been playing on the computer with some modified graphics (including an intro sequence of stills from Angelique special - and I think they're hiding voice somewhere too...). The second allows for up to four players by link cable and looks like it's sorta an Angelique as Alice in Wonderland board game... I need to look up an english walk thru for that one, or put some actual effort into translating the directions.
Later, I was supposed to do other stuff... I ended up going and getting Austin and talking with him for a couple of hours. Which was good and needed to be done. Then Mom, Rob, Arella, Austin and I went out to see Lord of the Rings. (Yes, I think that puts me ahead of Corina so far... but we'll see.) After the normal religious shock (it got less the seconds time with this movie...), we went home where we talked more and then he went home. It was at this point I realized that I was very probably coming down with a cold.
Tuesday-
Um... I was sick mostly. I slept a lot and sat around working on random stuff (including Angelique - where I've so far only had one perfect date: Olivie! ^_^)
I also did a good bit of reading and work on DnD/story stuff.
Wed- Today- Christmas
Rob woke me up at 9, but I'm not too tired. We opened presents and such and I got a ton of candy and a couple of nice fuzzy clothes. I didn't get a whole lot in terms of presents, but that's predictable since my mom seems a bit at a loss for how to give me things (she doesn't really approve of DVDs, anime or other TV sorts of stuff - and she wouldn't know what to get if she tried).
So now begins my current rantiness…
This week in general has been pretty nice and very family centered. I should not have checked my grades…. because it made me physically ill and I don’t know if I’ll be able to let it go, infact I know I won’t. At this point I am beginning to put really serious consideration into majors and careers outside of the sciences… namely in language and culture. But that could be blamed only half on me and half on reading Hellspark. I’ve discovered that Janet Kagan (author of Hellspark) has written only three books – and that only two were truly original (the third being a Star Trek book). Which is very sad, since she’s wonderful. Anyway… where was I… oh, grades… um… let’s not. I did very badly and will have to work my ass off to get back to anything resembling an acceptable GPA, so that’s all.
Unfortunately, that seems to have really killed any desire I had to do anything except complain, so I’m going to post this for now, and maybe more later.
