Ryuusei no Kizuna
Watched episodes 3-5 tonight.
Which was somewhat foolish given the nature of my morning plans involving being at sensei's house at 9 am.
However, I have random comments.
And by 'the plot thickens' I mean 'it develops a plot'. For real.
Babble, in no order and with no relevance to one another:
Nino is brilliant. And gorgeous. And adorable when imitating a girl. And great at playing a scheming genius.
Ryo is growing on me. He's very talented and the rage of characters he's getting to display in these episodes is /wonderful/. He's also beautiful in a very delicate lovely way without being overly effeminate. I also get the feeling that when he tries to act stupid (like when he was being a street-dancer-things) he basically just acts and much like Yamapi as he can without dying of shame. It worked rather well. :P
"Beautiful Days" is growing on me, like fungus. The opening sequence is beautifully arranged, and if the show does actually end up going the direction that the opening suggests, I will really like this show.
Also, somewhat wonderfully, this show manages to be COMPLETELY NOT GAY. Which I once believed to be impossible for a show featuring more than one JE boy. But in this case it appears that they actually just cast the best actors for the roles and they /happened/ to be JE boys, rather than the other way around (they cast Jhonnys and if they're lucky, they get actors - like Nobuta.) Anyway, I get nothing even remotely subtexty about it. And I adore all the characters just as they are. Though apart form 'Shi' and 'Taisuke', I don't think I can remember anyone elses name. >.> A little sad. I recognize them in context at least. ^^;;
Am now caught up to the current and think that I will keep watching.
After I finish Maoh. >.> Though I may not have time for another big chunk of episodes until
