Whee, wednesday.
Accomplished basically nothing today.
Apart from a lot of sleep and some internet poking. I feel mostly better now, except for some sinus congestion, but I doubt that will be going away any time soon. I used to take sudafed daily for 3-4 months out of the year.
Anyway.... I did rethread my machine (I had a slightly different set up for using the embroidery thread) and got the outside of Kagetoki's coat put together. We took pictures, which I'll have to steal from Jess to post at some point. I also cut the strips for his not-obi (it's long, but narrower than an obi and not as stiff). That alone took a while because I insist on pullng threads to cut things like that (it's a poly shantung). Mostly that was a way to procrastinate doing anything else while we watched the special features from "Across the Universe".
Hopefully tomorrow, I want to take the lining and pattern to work and get it laid out and cut once I'm off (or maybe later in the evening). I'm going to look at batting tomorrow too. If there's anything thinner than what I had, I'll probably go for that option. I really like the idea of the coat being a bit heavier that way.
I need to look at the pattern for the shirt and just suck it up and do it. Should also look into power mesh or a similar lining for the shirt, since it will help with the chest binding if it's got support inside. *nodnod*
I've taken to wearing Akram's tunic-length inner layer around the house. I can tie the sleeves back to work or cook in and it keeps me warm because the back of my neck is a key heat-loss point for me. I also remembered Benkei's layers and now really want to make Akram a new black layer. I'll be on the lookout for silky sales now, since we just got in a print that would work.
/anyway/...
Since I slept too much, I'm watching Boy's Este in an attempt to put myself to sleep. Also, making To Do lists.

Apparently Takumi still makes me flail more than I thought, so I should try some other way to sleep.
[ETA: Episode 8 - It was only a moment, and it was totally a gag, but apparently Takumi just can't escape the gay. Also, knowing this whole thing has a shojo manga that it's based on makes me give it a lot more leeway. It's actually a nice romance. And pretty. Very pretty. Kanao-san. Mmm.]
